Photo exhibit: Pahokee Prepares for War

This photographic retrospective of Pahokee’s wartime contributions depicts what life was like in 1940s in Pahokee, and provides a rare glimpse into the community at a pivotal moment in history, from the harvesting of vegetable crops to war preparations.

This exhibit, the work of an unknown local photographer, is an opportunity to look at the community, its history and the contributions of the migrant workers.
