A family-friendly event Thursday at the Norton Museum features kids activities, music, lectures and refreshments. Dress as a make-believe character for the costume contest and get $1 off admission.

From 5-7 p.m., enter the mystery treasure hunt in the museum or take part in an art activity. At 5:30, take a family tour of the museum, followed at 6 p.m. by the Curator’s Conversation, featuring Charles Stainback on photography.

At 6:30 p.m., Music in the Theatre, featuring Naked Eyes Unplugged, begins. The ’80s band released Always Something There to Remind Me and Promises, Promises.

At 8 p.m. the winners of the costume contest and treasure hunt will be announced in the Atrium.

Galleries are open from 5-8 p.m. Programs and cash bar are open until 9.

When: 5 p.m. Thursday

Where: Norton Museum of Art, 1451 S. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach

Admission: $8 adults, $3 ages 13-21, free for age 12 and younger
