Former “Girls Next Door” and “Kendra” reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson’s tell-all memoir, which debuted at No. 4 on the New York Times Best Seller list, offers almost-too-hot-to-touch details about her life inside and outside the Playboy Mansion.

Among the revelations: Wilkinson’s early use of cocaine and meth (at 13), her first time stripping and her first encounter in bed with Hugh Hefner (they were not alone).

Wilkinson, now married to NFL player Hank Baskett and the mother of infant Hank Jr., came to South Beach, of course, to promote the book at an event at the Gansevoort Hotel during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim.

You write about your (sexual) experiences and your first time with Hugh Hefner. Did Hefner know beforehand about some of the things you would disclose in the book?

It’s not like I went into a private relationship with Hef. It was a very open and honest relationship in the spotlight and in the press. There have been a lot of books written about him out of jealousy, out of rage, out of anger. He knows I didn’t write my book out of anger. We’re like best friends. We’re like family. I just wanted to tell my story. Not to be mean, not to be angry. I just wanted to tell what I was thinking during certain times.

Did Hank know what you were going to say?

Yes, definitely. That’s one of those things where it shouldn’t be a surprise. It should be talked about and discussed. I told him what I was planning to put in the book. I explained what my intentions were. He’s 100 percent behind me because he knows the person I am.

There’s a lot of very racy things in the book. You talk about using drugs at a very young age, you go into great detail about your (sexual) experiences with Hef in the mansion, about orgies and things like that. How are you going to handle that with your son when he’s old enough to know about these things?

That’s going to be a long time from now and right now we’re enjoying his baby years and we’re focusing on what’s next, and that’s crawling. We’re so happy. I’ve slid into home. I couldn’t be happier. Those were my decisions in the past. Now my decisions in the future are him.

Did your mom read the book?

Oh, yeah. She knows my story. She didn’t know about the stripping thing. I had to tell her about that before the book came out. That was a good thing. I drew us closer. It forced us to sit down and talk about life. It was a very therapeutic time to write this book.
