The top 20 opened the show with a Heroes-inspired Shane Sparks (he’s back!) choreographed hip hop number. The group attacked the number with ferocity, but we all know the purpose of the evening…rules are rules…and so we had to say toodle-loo or in this case, “tutu-boogaloo”, to two dancers.

First two dancers eliminated. 18 contestants remain.
Hello all! Back from the West Coast but going solo this week while Michelle is taking some much needed time off.
The top 20 performed last night, allowing America the first opportunity to vote for their faves. From Bollywood to broadway, hip hop to crash test dummy jazz, last night’s show offered up almost every dance genre (and hopefully set the mark for an exciting season ahead). Now, just in case anyone has forgotten the rules (tsk, tsk), the top 20 dancers are coupled up and dance one choreographed piece. Based on America’s votes, the bottom three couples are announced and the judges send one girl and one boy home.
