Singer Jason Derulo was forced to cancel his tour after fracturing his neck during rehearsals Thursday, according to AllAccess.com.
Derulo, who was touring in support of his new second album, Future History, missed a landing during rehearsal and suffered an acute fracture of a vertebra. CNN reports the singer will have to wear a neck brace during the next few months.
“To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History world tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained,” Derulo said in a statement release by Warner Bros. Records. “My fans mean everything to me, so I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future.”
Derulo had just performed a successful set on New Year’s Eve at Miami Beach’s Orange Drive Music Festival, mere miles from where he grew up in Miami.
Via his blog, Facebook page and Twitter account, Aaron “@AGuyOnClematis” Wormus has become one of the best-known bloggers in our area, covering downtown West Palm Beach with his camera on a daily basis. He caught it all, from entertainment to politics to weather to news. Or at least as much as “AGuy” could — which was a lot.
Recently, Aaron sent his readers an email look back at 2011 on Clematis Street, and we’ve grabbed a few of the highlights. (Want to see the full email? Check it out here.)

It seems like a million years ago, but the Clematis Street cattle drive actually happened a year ago this month — it was to promote the “Cowboys on the Waterfront” month last January.

Two news sources, the Wall Street Journal and the Hollywood Reporter, have reported that Ryan Seacrest has been courted by NBC to take over as host of the Today show should Matt Lauer decide to leave next year.
Seacrest, the host of Fox’s American Idol, E! News and his own radio show, reportedly met with high-level executives at the network Tuesday night to talk about possibly taking on the role, according to the Journal.
The Journal adds that talks are highly preliminary. However, with Lauer possibly signaling that he was leaving the anchor position after 12 years, NBC has been looking at potential replacements.
