The Palm Beach Improv presents Pauly Shore this weekend. Shore, the son of comic Sammy Shore and comedy club owner Mitzi Shore, was destined for a career in comedy. The comedian-actor is best known for starring in a series of films in the 1990s including Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, Jury Duty and Bio-Dome. He also hosted several programs on MTV. Shore still tours the country performing stand-up and has many projects on the horizon including Adopted, a film that satirizes the phenomenon of celebrity adoptions, opening this fall.
Also causing laughter this week is The Jove Comedy Experience, a professional improvisation and sketch comedy troupe. The team will perform an original comedy theater production, Night of The Shining Texas Chainsaw On Elm Street — Part 6. The show, written and produced by The Jove, takes place Saturday and Halloween night at the Atlantic Theater. Audiences can expect original sketches, improvised scenes with audience participation and musical parodies all based on the traditions of Halloween.
