Lounge listing: Review, directions, more

The scene: Mix the upscale setting and impeccable service of the Four Seasons brand with the relaxed vibe of a get-away-from-it-all resort, and garnish with the older crowd that tends to congregate at the southern end of Palm Beach. The result: If you’re looking for a sophisticated spot for a 5-star drink where you can melt into the furniture and easily hear your companion, you can’t do much better than this.

Signature cocktail: The Organic Cucumber Martini ($14), a refreshingly different cocktail — citrusy and light, the kind of beverage you dream of sipping after a swim in the pool or a visit to the spa.

Other noteworthy libations: Choose your poison — the organic cocktail menu includes martinis, margaritas and mojitos. We liked the densely flavored blackberry-thyme margarita made with Tierras Añejo tequila ($14) and the just-sweet-enough blueberry mojito made with Papagayo rum ($12). Another signature option is the Herb Garden Mojito, made with basil and mint grown on the premises ($12).

Many domestic and imported beers are available, as is The Restaurant’s 250-wine list.

Bar bites: The Bar and Lounge isn’t a strap-on-the-feedbag destination, but the offerings are artistically presented and plenty delicious, if petite. Examples: yellowtail crudo ($9), which features Key lime, mint, toasted coriander and shaved truffles. Guava short rib crispy spring roll ($8). And jumbo shrimp or market-fresh oysters ($4 each).

Deals: At the resort’s Academy Awards party at 8 p.m. March 7, guests will walk the red carpet to the patio, where the Oscars broadcast will be featured on TV. The menu will feature $8 pomegranate sparklers and $8 small plates. For reservations, call (561) 582-2800 .

Music: Live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.

Hours: 4:30 till 10 p.m.

Info: 2800 S. Ocean Blvd., Palm Beach, (561) 582-2800 . FourSeasons.com/PalmBeach
