Lord of the Rings fans have been talking this up all morning — this is, at last, the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey begins the tale of Bilbo Baggins, Frodo’s kinsman, who is pulled into an adventure by the wizard Gandalf. The story will take place over two films — An Unexpected Journey will be released next December, while the second film, There and Back Again, will be out in 2013.
Like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, this series is being directed by Peter Jackson. It stars Martin Freeman as Bilbo, with Ian McKellen reprising his role as Gandalf.
Rock of Ages, the film based on the hit jukebox musical, was filmed mostly in South Florida in Miami, Hollywood and at the Fort Lauderdale nightclub Revolution Live.
