I’ve always been one of those I-love-Twilight-and-I’m-not-afraid-to-admit-it kind of gals, so it’s not really a surprise that 11/18/11 (the release date of Breaking Dawn) has been on my calendar for the past few months.
And I was even more excited to score an invite to an early screening Wednesday night, where I brought along my friend Chrissy to root for Team Edward. In a nutshell, we both really enjoyed Breaking Dawn and agreed it was by far the best of the Twilight franchise. (And a bonus: R-Patz has never looked so good!)
The entire Twilight gang is looking so grown up these days, especially on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere earlier this week.
The best beauty look of the night definitely goes to Ashley Greene, who stunned in a gorgeous red Donna Karan frock and a perfect bold, red lip to match.
Makeup artist Vanessa Scali shared her makeup tricks for creating the look. “The statement was the fun, bold lip so I kept the rest simple. Not too much on the eye, a softy flushed cheek and a bright, bold slash of color on the lip.”
To get the same fresh and vibrant look, try mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Cha Cha mixed with mark Lipclick SPF 15 Color Shine Lipstick in Hot Stuff.

“Alexis, look at my eyebrows! Did they mess them up? Do they look uneven? What do you think?” my coworker exclaimed as she returned from the salon after an eyebrow shaping last week. I assured her they were perfectly symmetrical and she looked terrific — no post-brow shaping panic necessary! But unfortunately, I’ve been there before and it’s not fun. I recounted the tale from a few years back when after trying out a new salon, I was left with brows that were uneven, too short, botched at the ends — basically a total mess. Fergie’s life just got a little more glamorous — in undertones of tuberose and leather — with her win of a Fifi award from the perfume industry for her scent Outspoken.
The Fragrance Foundation presented the Black Eyed Peas singer with the honor Wednesday night for new celebrity fragrance of the year at a splashy Lincoln Center ceremony.
Outspoken is Avon’s most successful fragrance launch to date. The prize, Fergie said in a telephone interview, along with the yellow BCBG Max Azria gown she wore to pick it up and all the trappings of fame, are just icing now that she’s realized her biggest aspiration — her success as a solo artist.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I think all this would happen,” she said. “My goal was a solo album. It was my dream since I was a little girl, and I went down many roads to get there.”

Let’s be honest, choosing the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for that someone special in your life can be quite a challenge. From long-stemmed roses to ooey-gooey greeting cards, to chocolate candy and a whole lot of the color red — there are so many options to choose from.
Many years ago, I celebrated my first Valentine’s Day with
Mr. Beauty Mark when we first began dating, and I can still remember fretting over buying him a gift. Do I find a present and hold on to it in case he doesn’t get me something? Do I play it cool and not buy him anything at all? Or just a card? Or maybe no card?

If you caught the 37th annual People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday night, then you probably saw the doctor and vampire domination, with the Twilighters bringing home four trophies, and House winning three.
The actual awards part was fun and all, but I think I paid more attention to the hairstyles, dresses, accessories and makeup looks, throughout night. My favorite look of the night definitely goes to teen Disney sensation and rumored Justin Bieber gal pal, Selena Gomez. Between the 18-year-old’s flawless makeup, pinned back “half” updo and bronzey glow, Ms. Gomez gets my vote for best beauty of the night. Next time I go to the salon for a special occasion hairdo, I’m bringing a pic of Selena from the People’s Choice Awards. Loved it!
For the most part, the sisters Kardashian can do no wrong in the beauty department. They always look ravishing, whether they’re walking the red carpet or lounging around the house on their reality show. The People’s Choice Awards were no exception for Kim and Kourtney, but unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Khloe and her new strawberry blonde hair. And worst of all, it seems she’s not yet finished with her transformation from brunette to ginger. She told some reporters, “I am doing some more red tomorrow. I am in the process.” I’ll be keeping up with Khloe Kardashian‘s red locks, hoping (for her sake) it’s just a phase.

Carrie Underwood was a stunning co-host of the 44th Annual Country Music Awards last night.
Even though I’m not a big country music fan, the former American Idol‘s style has always gotten high votes from me. And last night was no exception. Carrie’s many costume changes and flawless hair and makeup choices earn her top prize for hottest country babe in the CMA house.
The newlywed’s trademark blonde locks looked terrific, styled perfectly to match with every single outfit swap. For red carpet-ready hair maintenance, a good conditioning or restorative treatment is essential. Carrie turns to RUSK’s Sensories Wellness line for gorgeous and color-safe hair care. Sensories Wellness Restorative Heal Treatment with Argan Oil is a thorough conditioning treatment to restore and strengthen color-treated hair that can tend to be dry or damaged. Read the full story
