Just as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups combine two great tastes that go great together, today’s awesome thing combines two of my favorite pop culture items – sock monkeys and Flo Rida’s “The Club Can’t Handle Me.” The song is amazingly brazen (ambrazen?) about feeling that you’re so confident and cool that you’re too much for the whole club. Not just one person. Not just those haters in the ladies room. With the entire club.
And sock monkeys? Cute. Funny. Made of socks. So why shouldn’t Mr. Monkey feel as if his awesomness extends to the entire club? Especially when he’s dressed like a pirate. With a peg leg. A MONKEY WITH A PEG LEG. What club wouldn’t he get into?

Before The Artist hit theaters, very few Americans had heard of Jean Dujardin.
But with his charm and grace coming through in the silent Oscar front-runner, Dujardin has stepped up in fame in a big way.
What we’ve learned about Jean is that not only is he an old-school handsome movie star, he’s also extremely funny. He appeared on Saturday Night Live in a sketch that played off The Artist and its silent style, and now he’s in a video from Funny or Die.
In it, Dujardin tries to answer the question: What will Jean Dujardin do next? The answer: Play a villain.
If you’ve happened across a 10-second video with Matthew Broderick, clearly redoing his “Ferris Bueller” role from the 1986 movie, you have to wonder: “Are they possibly doing a SEQUEL?!”
The answer, unfortunately, is no. This is for a Honda ad, says the site Jalopnik, coming up during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Jimmy Fallon has gotten pretty good at musical parody on his Late Night show on NBC (you should see him do Neil Young). So with Tim Tebow surpassing the usual sports stardom and crossing over into pop culture, Fallon decided to parody both the highly religious QB and the classic 1970s David Bowie.
Here’s “Tebowie”:

The marriage proposal of Timothy Tiah (right) to his girlfriend Audrey Ooi Feng Ling is quickly becoming a big YouTube hit.
After watching an emotional video of Malaysian Timothy Tiah propose to his girlfriend, “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest hailed it as a heartwarming coda to 2011. Singer Christina Perri confessed that it made her cry.
Celebrity endorsements have helped the creatively crafted clip rack up nearly 4 million views online within a week.
The video has turned Tiah and his now-fiancee into unexpected role models for numerous young romantics worldwide. (Click here to see the video — Note: Some profanity in Timothy’s proposal.)
The 27-year-old Internet entrepreneur told The Associated Press this week that it was a surreal twist for him because he has long been allergic to the idea of marriage.
The video shows Tiah surprising his girlfriend at an Italian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur.
