It’s finally setting in that Lost is truly over and done with.
How do I know?
Claire’s squirrel baby is up for sale.
Along with several other critical items from Lost — such as Charlie’s bass, Ben Linus’ copy of Ulysses and a collection of Dharma food products — the auction site Live Auctioneers has the actual “squirrel baby”, aka Lot 1068. Or the surrogate for Aaron once Kate left with him from the island.
The site, which currently has two bids on the squirrel baby, is predicting the item will sell for between $300 and $500.
Michael Emerson confirms he and former fellow “Lost” star Terry O’Quinn are shopping around for ideas for a TV show.
Emerson says they both want something more lighthearted than “Lost.” He hopes the show can acknowledge their “age and frailty.” Emerson says he envisions a show where, if their characters get hit in the face, they “don’t get up for a month.”
The 55-year-old Emerson and 58-year-old O’Quinn are both up for best supporting actor Emmy Awards.
Emerson says he is aware a segment from the “Lost” final season DVD was leaked recently. Even though he stars in it, however, Emerson says he still hasn’t seen it.
The actor, who played Ben Linus in the ABC show that ended in May, says he does not really get the “whole I-have-to-see-it-before-the-rest-of-the-world mania.”
Editor’s note: If you haven’t watched Lost‘s final episode yet, you don’t want to be reading this. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.
And so it ends.
Today, those who were huge Lost fans are likely talking with their friends, catching up on the Internet to reactions, possibly trying to get through the day with six hours of sleep, less if you happened to stay up and watch the Jimmy Kimmel Live special like I did. (That’s right, kids, I am writing this on around five hours sleep. So if I slip off into a tangent on Mr. Ed, nod, smile and pat me on the head, OK?) Read the full story
NEW YORK — The premiere of “Lost” ended memorably with Charlie’s plaintive question to his fellow island castaways: “Guys, where ARE we?”
Six seasons and some 120 episodes later, many viewers might be wondering the same thing as the much-awaited “Lost” finale brought the series to a rapturous close Sunday night.
Viewers, where are we? The answer: Almost anywhere we want to be.
The 27-year-old joined the legion of devotees to ABC’s twisty-turny sci-fi show a season late. But after speeding through the first season in a week and a half marathon on DVD, she hasn’t missed an episode.
Stop in to her Wellington restaurant, Nature’s Table, and you’ll probably catch her discussing the latest Lost happenings with diners. In fact, at this moment, as she unabashedly confesses her fascination with the fictional castaways of Oceanic Flight 815, she’s hosting her radio show, Bedo’s Law, on local internet radio station W4CY.
And she’s giddy about how J.J. Abrams’ hit is going to end with its final episode on Sunday.
“I love it because it’s about the interconnection between people, how everything is intertwined,” she gushes. “It’s so representative of what the world is really like.” Read the full story
Of course, now that we’re heading to the end of six seasons of Lost, the big question is… um… how will it end?
To be honest, I have no idea. Not even going to begin to guess.
But a group called Team Tiger Awesome, along with Atom.com, have a few ideas, including this one, where it could end like a live TV show. Lost was shot before a live studio audience:
“Lost” has found an added half-hour to expand its big series conclusion.
ABC says the May 23rd finale originally scheduled for two hours is now set to air from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Eastern.
Preceding the finale will be a retrospective special, “Lost: The Final Journey,” airing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern. It will look back at the past six seasons of this mystical thriller.
And to finish out the big night, ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel bids the series farewell on a special edition of his show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to `Lost,’” airing from 12:05 a.m. to 1:05 a.m. Eastern.
This week’s Lost, entitled “Dr. Linus”, had to be one of the best episodes of the season.
I’m not going to go into great detail about it — couldn’t even if I wanted to — but I thought the writing was excellent, and Michael Emerson exceeded even his superb level of acting.
No, instead, I’m going to show you a little-known secret, revealed by Mr. Emerson himself on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Had no idea of the jealousy on that show!
