Truvia (TRU-vee-ah) is a new sweetener made from rebiana, which is part of the stevia plant, and erythritol, which is a byproduct of fermentation.
One packet has the sweetness of 2 teaspoons of sugar. You can bake with it, but see the conversion chart at truvia.com.
The sweetener is granular like sugar, with no calories and 3 grams of carbohydrates.
Until we tried Truvia, we thought we didn’t like stevia sweeteners.

It is a bit expensive: 80 packets are $6.99, or 8.7 cents each, Publix. (200 packets of Splenda cost $7.29, or 3.5 cents each.)
