MENU
Conchy Joe’s has been one the quintessential seafood houses on the Treasure Coast since 1979. The menu lives up to its name as it offers conch every way imaginable — cracked, fritters, salad and chowder. The restaurant menu also offers most seafoods, as well as steak, ribs and chicken.

ATMOSPHERE
Grab an outside table by the water Friday night, and you’ll think you’ve been teleported to the Bahamas. The Caribbean vibe is all around with the lively décor, and on weekends a live band plays soft rock and reggae tunes.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE
We ordered the eight-piece conch fritters ($8) and almost ordered a second batch because we liked them so much. Dipped in batter and served with Harbor Island Fritter Sauce, every bite of the appetizer left us wanting to take another.

REASON TO GO
It’s like taking a mini-vacation without ever leaving town. We went at the end of a long workweek, so the good food and breezy atmosphere made for a great weekend kickoff.

SERVICE
Our server was friendly, though a little rushed, but that may have been because we lingered until right about closing time.

NOISE LEVEL
The live band was playing in the background, but from our seats near the water we had conversation easily.

KID FRIENDLY
We didn’t have any kids with us, but There were several kids at other tables did and the families seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. And there’s grilled cheese, hamburgers, chicken tenders and fried fish on the kids menu.
