MENU

The menu is small, but there is a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta, steaks and seafood. Appetizers include calamari, shrimp nachos and crab cakes.

ATMOSPHERE

BlueFire Grille is on the bottom floor of the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott Hotel. Diners were dressed nicely, but casually.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We ordered a New York strip steak ($26), which came with roasted potatoes and vegetables; a grilled skirt steak salad ($12); a child’s cheese quesadilla ($6.95); and a child’s pepperoni pizza ($6.95). Each child’s entree was supposed to come with two sides, but one came with fries only, and the other didn’t come with anything. Both steaks were tender, juicy and cooked to order.

REASON TO GO

A nice steak, and a tasty dessert. In addition to our entrees, we also enjoyed a BlueFire Volcano ($6), which included a warm slice of chocolate cake topped with hot fudge, fresh cream and strawberries. We ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.

SERVICE

We found the service lacking. We waited at least 15 minutes before our server even came to our table. After bringing our drinks, she disappeared until our food arrived. Our basket of bread came with our meals, and our appetizers never arrived.

NOISE LEVEL

Quiet. We sat in a corner away from the bar, which probably helped.

KID FRIENDLY

Sort of. There is a nice kids menu, but the ambience and location don’t make for a quiet dining experience with young children.
