SUGAR DADDIES:
LISA RUBIN, cupcake maven from Jupiter, thinks she knows what Dad wants this Father’s Day — a little sugar. The baker and entrepreneur behind Hollywood Cupcake delivery service, Rubin has created something she calls a “muffcake.” It’s a cross between a cupcake and a muffin, “macho enough of any alpha male with a penchant for the sweet stuff,” goes her Father’s Day promo.
Rubin takes her cupcake inspiration from Hollywood icons. Her cupcake menu includes the Marilyn Monroe (airy lemon cake with creamy lemon frosting) and the Liz Taylor (a vanilla violet cupcake with lavender scented buttercream). Then there’s the Tarzan muffcake (banana and walnut) and the Frank Sinatra, (“old blueberry eyes with a touch of cornmeal”).
She’s taking orders for Father’s Day delivery via Hollywood Cupcake’s online store, www.HollywoodCupcake.com .
Cupcakes are $2.50 each with a minimum order of 1 dozen. Local delivery is free for Jupiter, Tequesta, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter Island and Palm Beach.

I ordered 2 dozen Hollywood Cakes for a dinner party and I have to say they were the best cupcakes I ever tasted and I include Magnolia Bakery in that. Getting the muffcakes for sure!
I agree CL, I bought a bunch of Lemon cupcakes from HC at a local boutique and they were unreal!
It’s a shame they weren’t real after buying them and all.
Will we ever go back to speaking English? Not likely huh?
That’s a funny comment Jim. One of the first questions people ask me at local fairs and boutiques is,’are these cupcakes real’? They usually think they’re scented candles! So ‘unreal’ is not so far off the mark!
What are you talking about Jim?? That comment was not only rude, but quite ignorant. Why don’t you go and look up “unreal” in the dictionary. There it is, entry #2, –adjective: imaginary; fanciful; illusory; fantastic. Someone was stating the cupcakes were fantastic, a.k.a., unreal. Your problem is???
