THE DISH: Max’s Radiatore Chicken Pasta, $19

THE RESTAURANT: Max’s Grille in Boca Raton

In the simplicity of Max’s Radiatore Chicken Pasta is a sweet medley of flavors that have played together beautifully, pleasing customers for 20 years.

“If we ever made an attempt to remove it (from the menu) there would be riots by the front door,” says executive chef Patrick Broadhead. “It’s one of our most iconic dishes.”

Tender roasted chicken, pasta, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes are tossed in a balsamic pan sauce and sprinkled with pine nuts and a nice dollop of goat cheese (a treat by itself). The tangy goat cheese softens the balsamic reduced sauce and the crispy broccoli and chewy sun-dried tomatoes add a brightness to the dish.

“It’s simple and complex at the same time,” Broadhead says.
For the price, it’s a large, hearty portion and, between the richness of the pan sauce and the succulent goat cheese, it’s a filling, satisfying dish.

THE INFO: Max’s Grille, at 404 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday to 11 p.m. and Sunday to 10 p.m.

  1. Oh Please says:

What is the nutritional value of the meal described above? Keeping with Michelle Obama’s push on healthy eating, don’t you think the PB Post should comply with at least a calorie count?
