The Latin American Food & Wine Festival hits Main Street at Midtown in Palm Beach Gardens Thursday, trailing a figurative (and literal) conga line of tapas, vinos and spirits. The festival takes over the dining and shopping plaza for three and a half hours of wines from Chile and Argentina, spirits from across Latin America, hand-rolled cigars, and tastings from more than 20 local restaurants (competing for juried and people’s choice awards).
Joining the fiesta: Cantina Laredo, Havana, Don Ramon of Dixie Highway, III Forks, Talay Thai, Caribbean Choice restaurant and bakery, Russell’s Blue Water Grill, La Fonda, Temptation Caribbean Restaurant, Marble Slab Ice Cream, Gelato Grotto, Coolinary Café, and the Marriott’s Blue Fire Grille.
To dance off the calorías, revelers are invited to join what may shape up to be Palm Beach County’s longest conga line. And, flash-mob spoiler alert: there’s a Latin dance flash mob as well. The festival is organized by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County.
