Out of nowhere, wine tastings are exploding right and left. And since we’re sure you don’t want to miss the fun, here’s what’s going on in our neck of the woods the next week or so.

Friday, November 13 at Café Boulud
One of our favorite restaurants on the island, Café Boulud, is hosting a New Zealand wine tasting Friday night. They’ll be pouring a sampling of all sorts of NZ wines and accompanied with the awesomeness of Zach Bell’s culinary talents. The event is listed as sold out but maybe call to see if it’s true…(561) 655-6060.

Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13 at Crown Wine and Spirits
Crown advertises this as their “Best of the Best” wine tasting of the year – with 60 selections of upscale, single vineyard and “cherry” wines from all over the world. The wine list looks really yummy!

Cost is $30 per person, 7-9 p.m.

Sounds like there’s a whole lot of fun wine events going on! I’m sad to miss a few of them, but I’ve already got plans.

I really hope the Swirl Girls, and all of your readers, can make it to Fort Lauderdale for my 3rd Twitter Wine Meetup – Twineup3 – where we’ll taste 3 wines, paired with pass-around bites from the Chef and have a good time with wine! It’s at Himmarshee Bar & Grille Sat Nov 21st from 8pm-10pm

    Cheers!

About the Swirl Girls

JGwen (Dry)
What I drink: Old world reds, medium-bodied, dry, earthy. I've been into Spanish Riojas lately, but I recently tried a great Burgundy at a wine tasting in Lake Worth...

Lynn (Bold)
What I drink: I've been a red wine lady (is that like a red hat lady?) for years, though dry white wines woo me well.

Jennifer (Earthy)
What I drink: I prefer reds, although I can't deny the delight of a Riesling on a hot summer day.
