Is it possible to 1) drink good wine, 2) while dressed up on Palm Beach in the company of the Swirl Girls, 3) while visiting Mar-a-Lago, and 4) helping a really good cause?

Yes – the answer is Thursday’s sold-out LIFE’s “Wine, Women and Song,” a 10th Exclusive Wine Dinner and Auction.

The Swirl Girls will be there for a fun evening that will also benefit the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, a near and dear cause of philanthropist Lois Pope.

At the end of this entry are some of the terrific wines that will be auctioned off; and here is the list of some of the wines we’ll be drinking.

Donated by event chairs Patrick Park and his fiance Nathalie Fernandez, here’s the list:

Sparkling wine: A Segura Viuda Cava, Brut Reserva 2008
White wine: Nessa Albariño 2008 (we love our albarinos!)
Red wine: Becquer Rioja 2006
Dessert wine: Silvano Garcia Dulce Moscatel 2007

We’re bringing dancing shoes (there will be flamenco dancing) and will report on the fun event!

Here are some of the wines to be auctioned – wow!:

1951 Beaulieu Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Private Reserve, Georges de Latour

–2000 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, 1er Grand Cru Classé de Bordeaux, France

–1959 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, France

–1995-2004 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon Lot (we have every year mentioned except the year 2000)

–1996 Chateau Margaux, Premier Cru Classé, Margaux

–1995 Vega Sicilia “Unico” Ribero del Duero Proprietary Red Wine, Spain

–1986 Chateau Pichon-Longueville, Comtesse de Lalande, 2ème Cru Classé, Pauillac

About the Swirl Girls

JGwen (Dry)
What I drink: Old world reds, medium-bodied, dry, earthy. I've been into Spanish Riojas lately, but I recently tried a great Burgundy at a wine tasting in Lake Worth...

Lynn (Bold)
What I drink: I've been a red wine lady (is that like a red hat lady?) for years, though dry white wines woo me well.

Jennifer (Earthy)
What I drink: I prefer reds, although I can't deny the delight of a Riesling on a hot summer day.
