Tossed, fast casual salad eatery at 11290 Legacy Avenue, is proud to announce Lori Rutsky of Palm Beach Gardens as the local winner of its annual salad recipe contest.

In celebration of National Salad Month in May, Tossed invited its customers nationwide to put on their chef’s caps and concoct the salad of their dreams.

Customers were encouraged to submit their original, unpublished recipe for a chance to have their culinary creation featured on Tossed menus across the country for the month of July.

While Ashley Moore of Franklin, Tennessee won the national contest, Rutsky was awarded the local honor for her salad.

“Our customers are always coming up with such unique salad ideas that we decided to give them an opportunity to display their creativity on a larger scale,” said Amanda Mossing, manager of Tossed in Palm Beach Gardens.

“Rutsky definitely did that and then some, which is why she is our winner!”

Her salad included baby spinach, strawberries, toasted almonds, smoked turkey, goat cheese, and strawberry vinaigrette dressing; in addition to creating Palm Beach Garden’s best salad, Rutsky is also the recipient of 10 free salads.

Customers can enjoy Rutsky’s salad throughout July as well as weekly featured salads all summer long for just $6.95 from June 22nd through September 4th during Tossed’s Summer Salad Fest. For more on Tossed, see their website.

Must have in the pantry- canned beans.
They are nutrient dense and there is such a variety available to choose from.
Drain them to remove most of the sodium and they are ready to use.
You can pull together a meal in no time- tacos, burritos, chili…
Or make a great side dish, salad or dip.
