McCormick’s new Grill Mates marinades are envelopes of powder you fix with oil and vinegar to make super-flavorful, quick marinades for chicken, pork, salmon, shrimp or beef.
We tried Hawaiian Luau, which tasted of pineapple, soy, garlic and onions, and Mojito Lime, which added the flavors of lime, spearmint, chili, and citrus peel to shrimp.
Each marinade adds about 10 calories per serving (before the oil is added), and really packs a punch of flavor.
These are great shelf-stable secret weapons for last-minute suppers. Widely available, prices vary.
