More: Review: Sheen brings his ‘truth’ to South Florida

SUNRISE — North Palm Beach’s Eileen Dinolfo appreciates a certain symmetry in her Mother’s Day gifts. Last year, son Blake Benenati got her a SunPass. This year, as an early treat, he bought her Charlie Sheen tickets.

“So I used the SunPass to get here,” said Dinolfo, 45, outside the BankAtlantic Center on Saturday night before the former Two and a Half Men star’s Violent Torpedo of Truth show.

Sheen’s well-publicized rants against his producer and his network, CBS, got him fired from his hit show, but his rampant media interviews, erratic behavior, tales of his blond “goddess” girlfriends and general wackiness have led to this tour, which began at the beginning of April.

Even though the audience of the tour’s Detroit opener revolted,  Sheen had more than his share of South Florida fans completely unfazed by bad reviews.

“I was curious. And like every American male, I fantasize about all of things he’s about, like the sex, the drugs and the prostitution,” explained Mike Zyla, 40, of Deerfield Beach.  He added the bad reviews didn’t bother him. “I spent the money. I knew what I was in for.”

Of course, not everyone finds Sheen “winning.” The three hosts of the Broward County-based Internet  show Two Blondes and a Redhead formed a small protest outside of the arena, holding signs that said “Go Home Charlie Sheen.” The redhead, Heidi Richard Mooney, explained that they were objecting to the glorification of Sheen, who has a history of domestic violence and substance abuse charges.

Sheen said his ex-wife Brooke Mueller has pawned watches he’d given her, discussed the origin of “tiger blood” and how his disastrous first show — full of filler-like film clips and a comedian — made him cut the filler and bring “the truth.”

He also welcomed former NBA star and fellow veteran of media wackiness Dennis Rodman. The show featured a roast by Comedy Central roastmaster Jeffery Ross  and a surprisingly helpful bit where Sheen offered advice to audience members.

He also told a colorful story about how Donald Trump supposedly gave him fake cufflinks at a dinner at Mar-a-Lago.

“Don’t give fake jewelry to someone who can figure out if it’s fake,” he said.

“Overall, it was positive,” said Boris Castillo, 41, of Boynton Beach, “although there were some surreal moments. Jeff Ross obviously gave him some pointers because it’s evolved, but it wasn’t worth $60.”

people who paid money to see this loser are “losers”! ha

I wanted to go, but had to miss it; I love the guy, he’s awesome. He realizes and embraces the reality of being a star, under the microscope 24/7. many of the true hollywood d-bags like russel crowe and mel gibson have no sense of humor or humility. when CS talks about “winning” and other bs, it’s really just a sarcastic play on the mentality of superstars; charlie makes a mockery of it all. the truth he spews is actually how all of your beloved stars really feel about themselves, and you and the media are the ones that put them there.

      Totally agree with you.
It is just a shame that because of these real life troubles (he always had a “wild” unconventional life-style) the industry quite black-listed him (like they again try to do it right now with major help from mainstream medias)..in 80/90′s he was about to become a major movie star (because of his feud with Stone, the director finally chose Tom Cruise instead of him for Born on the Fourth of July..yeah the role was initially for Sheen..)..well after that he waited few years to have his come back on tv and was not anymore the major A-Lister he once was..too bad, he is talented.

Talk about a NON-EVENT! People pay $60 to go see some shi^head talk dribble….your better off going to the casino….at least you could win some money!

  4. mike says:

Why would anyone pay money to listen to a crack-head. If you love listening to self-destructive, drug induced gibberish, just go to a t-bag rally or turn on fox news. At least its free.

  5. BRECKENSPAPA says:

AMAZING PUBLIC STUPIDITY…IF CHARLIE SHEEN HAD NO SERIOUS MONEY TO SPEAK OF..NOBODY WOULD PAY ANY ATTENTION TO HIS MANIACAL BEHAVIOR. A NUT IS A NUT,IS A NUT!!! HE ALSO KNOWS HE CAN GET AWAY WITH OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOUR BECAUSE HE HAS ALL THAT F%#& YOU MONEY.

  6. Mr. K says:

I would hate anyone to think I was the kind of person who would want tickets to this nonsense as a present. Just give me the money and I won’t go.

  7. Mr. Bojangles says:

Those Two Blondes and a Redhead are just women that couldn’t keep their men. They want to lash out at any assertive male that knows he doesn’t have to accept a mediocre women just because he married her.

Once these women age another 5 years their ‘viewers’ are going to look elsewhere. They are just as pretentious as Charlie, but less awesome doing it!

  8. Jon KIng says:

Sheen was so 3 weeks ago. It cracks me up how people have not moved on already. It was mildly entertaining for about 4-5 days, last month. There is no staying power to the entertainment value.

  9. LJ says:

Interesting to note that the folks whose posts are bashing the show have only read about it, and have not seen it.

If you saw the show and found it repulsive, you have credibility, and I appreciate your input.

If you didn’t see the show but want to shout about it being repulsive, you just show your ignorance.

But then some folks love to walk around with a badge of “stupid” on their arms all the time.

  10. Lynn angell says:

I was at the show and Charlie is awesome. Very entertaining ..I’m so glad I went. I got my money’s worth. Just seeing Charlie is worth it. Love that guy. Sure hope he gets his life together.

  11. Mr. K says:

Yeah sure, we should go to every show so only then can we have an opinion on how stupid it is. I guess I need to see every musical act before I can decide I don’t like their music. We saw all this stuff for weeks on television. Listening to him ramble on about how his drunken, drugged up, woman beating self is the only truth in the world doesn’t interest me in the least.

  12. C. Katzel says:

Maybe Jeffrey Ross should be hired for “Two and a half men” in place of Charlie Sheen.

  13. L.A says:

Nothing better to do these days, maybe other stars will follow in his footstep and do their on gig for money. At the expense of suckers with too much time on their hands. Why is it that their are so many yahoos following this asshole around twitter. We should instead focus on saving the planet for our children’s children.

I thought it was illegal to transport prostitutes across state lines

  15. Nick says:

Notice the only ones downing the show are the ones who didn’t go. I went and I really enjoyed it. Going made me realize Charlie isn’t the bad guy we all portray him to be. Y’all are idiots. Your just prob all pissed cause you couldnt afford it and decide to crack on everyone who could

  16. Tony Matthews says:

I went to Iron Maiden there at Bank Atlantic Center on April 16th, and I promise you that it was a million times more worth it than seeing Charlie Sheen (and a billion times more worth it actually paying to see it)… I like him as an actor, but to actually pay to see his ranting, bullcrap so called tour… In the words of New Yorkers… fuhgeddabouuutttiiiitttt… and not in a good way, either… More Iron Maiden… no Charlie… I know people personally that I would rather pay to see than him.

    • Tony Matthews says:

let me clarify.. misstyped…. ok, I went to Iron Maiden on the 16th… and they were way more worth seeing than Charlie…. million more times worth it and a billion more times worth it if I had payed to see Charlie…Iron Maiden was on top of their game and awesome… I know people personally that I would rather pay to see than him.
