Is it native or naive? The Catholic church condoned neither of the incidents you refer to. No hypocrisy whatsoever. Cutie broke his vows, plain andd simple.

It kind of is a little hypocritical that a Catholic priest got in trouble for being in love and having sex with a woman, but it has been DOCUMENTED hundreds of times that they knew their priests molested little boys and hid it.

Good for him. For the first several hundred years, priests were married men. Many of the first POPES were married men. It was later that the celebacy rule was enacted. Celibacy is not a natural state, many of the child pedophile scandals could have been
avoided if men could be allowed to act on their natural feelings. The church needs to wake up.
