It seems Miley Cyrus has danced her way into another round of media scrutiny.
Video of a 16-year-old Cyrus giving a lap dance to openly-gay, 44-year-old producer Adam Shankman (who you may recognize as a judge on TV’s So You Think You Can Dance?) has surfaced. The impromptu number reportedly occurred in Georgia last year, at the wrap party for the Cyrus-starring, Shankman-produced tearjerker The Last Song.
TMZ, who obtained the video, also reports that Cyrus’s parents were not among those attending the party.
This isn’t the first time Miley’s moves have drawn criticism. The singer was called out for a performance at last year’s Teen Choice Awards in which she pole danced on top of an ice-cream cart.

How many of you ppl. know this young lady? How many of you know what, if anything, prompted her to dance like that? How many of you have no idea of what Your kids are doing at parties or listening to? My guess is, none of you or, at best, one or two. You are the very caue of the problem. Hannah Montana is not the same as Miley Cyrus any more that Hannibal Lecture is the same as Anthony Hopkins. Your daughter should be taught the difference. People on TV are not real. They are characters being played by actress. Just because on character is good or bad doesn’t mean the actor playing them is good or bad. Your child should be taught that Hannah is OK, but Miley Cyrus is not. Studies show that children who have been properly the difference by their parents understand this and should have no problems.

We were all young once and did things that we are not proud of. However, Miley is in the public eye and a roll model for many young girls. Her actions can and do influence our young girls-regardless how closely we police what they are in to.

First off: She is a teenage girl. Far worse things went down while i was in high school and even middle school.
Secondly: The man is gay! I know that dancing like that in front of children is not right, she shouldn’t have done that. But I say some pretty damn sexual things to my girl friends/gay guy friends and make sexual gestures. Grinding on one wouldn’t be weird. Just let her have some fun!

I just want to say that I think people are to caught up with “HollyWood” these days. I actually feel bad for Miley. I believe she has lost touch with what is important in life, and what is real. The adult in this situation should have gently pushed Miley away. It’s worng for any adult over the age of 20 or 22 (depending on which state you live in) to knowingly receive the sexual attention of a 16 year old girl. Being flattered is one thing, participating is another. And all the other adults in the room should have pull her and/or him aside and said something, including her agent who appears to be in the video. It doesn’t matter that he is gay. It’s wrong. The adults are the Legally responsible ones in this situation, not the child.

First off, I would like to ask why it always seems to be that those who are the most strong (and usually blatantly ignorant) with their words also have the most typos. Just an interesting observation of mine. Secondly, I don’t believe that a woman named Jessie who claims to be 89 gave her first lap dance “the other day,” or that her name is even Jessie for that matter. I mean really. Third, the point was made about everyone freaking out over the Beetles, then Elvis, then EVERYTHING throughout the 70′s, then Madonna, then Britney, now Miley and everything and everyone in between. What was taboo yesterday is accepted today, and what’s accepted today is embraced tomorrow. I’m 22 years old and I have NEVER given a lap dance, nor have I ever gotten drunk or high. Yes, I have made mistakes as everyone has. But I am SICK AND TIRED of hearing people say “Oh, she’s only ___ age.” Like that makes it okay? No! Age is age. Right and wrong DOESN’T change.
