Mark Ruffalo will be taking on the role of Bruce Banner. Director Joss Whedon presented the new face of the Marvel muscleman, as well as the rest of his all-star lineup, at this year’s Comic-Con.

Cast members of the upcoming ensemble action flick assembled on stage at the sci-fi-centered convention, and they include Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) andMark Ruffalo (the Hulk).

Joss Whedon, of Buffy the Vampire fame, is also co-writing the blockbuster, which is set for a summer 2012 release.
