Rihanna is making her acting debut in the action flick Battleship, a film adaptation of the classic Hasbro board game.

The Barbados-born singer will be joined be Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch and True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard, who will play brothers who lead the fight for their planet’s survival against an otherworldly force.

Peter Berg, executive producer and writer on Friday Night Lights, is set to direct. The film is expected to be released May 25, 2012.

The 22-year-old’s collaboration with Eminem on the hit single “Love the Way You Lie” is currently at the top of the charts. The music video, featuring Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan, is expected to be released this week.
