Today’s roundup of news from around the Web is brought to you by the question “why?”
First off — ‘The Insider’ is reporting Harrison Ford is ready to jump into Indiana Jones 5, even though it won’t be out until 2011, and by then he’ll be 69 years old.
FirstShowing.net says that while it is true that Steven Spielberg is eager to get the project started, they’re not sure if this is official confirmation — though why would you make an Indy movie without Harrison Ford?
• Variety reports that the ball is rolling on a big-screen remake of the ’80s cop show ‘T.J. Hooker’. No news about who will play the title role, which was originally played by William Shatner at his staccato-acting best. (Also, who will play Heather Locklear’s part, and will there be feathered hair involved?)• Finally, as much as I loved the original Major League, I have to ask why there’s a crying need for a fourth installment to the dorrmant franchise. Bob Uecker — who’s appeared in all three Major League films so far — said that there are plans in the works for an ML4. Moviehole.net assumes it’s a straight-to-DVD project, and I’d have to agree.
