An attorney for Warren Beatty is denying claims that a new biography of the actor was authorized and says the book contains “false assertions” about Beatty.
The book Star: How Warren Beatty Seduced America by Peter Biskind has famously reported that Beatty has slept with 12,775 women, according to The Washington Post.
In a statement to the Huffington Post (via WENN), Beatty’s lawyer, Bertram Fields, says the biography isn’t authorized and that fans shouldn’t believe everything in the book:
“Mr. Biskind’s tedious and boring book on Mr. Beatty was not authorised by Mr. Beatty and should not be published as an authorised biography. It contains many false assertions and purportedly quotes Mr. Beatty as saying things he never said.
“Other media should not repeat things from the book on the assumption that they are true or that the book is an authorized biography.”
Wow, whoever wrote this can’t spell “authorized”. Pretty sad/bad.
