Several news services report that Jesse James, Sandra Bullock’s husband and TV personality, has released an apology to his Oscar-winning wife and their kids.

James didn’t admit to infidelity in the apology, saying that “the vast majority” of claims of cheating were “untrue and unfounded” in a statement to People.com.

He does, however, sound contrite in his statement:

“There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.

“This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

On Wednesday, Bullock announced she wouldn’t be attending the British premiere of The Blind Side, for which she won an Academy Award. She blamed “unforeseen personal reasons” and apologized.

Meanwhile, In Touch magazine revealed a cover story about a woman claiming to be James’ mistress while Bullock was filming The Blind Side.
