What does Eat Pray Love tea ($11.50, from Republic of Tea) taste like? Redemption and second chances?

Does “Eat” perfume (there are also “Pray” and “Love” scents; $32 from Fresh) smell like pizza margherita?

As the movie opens today across the country, retailers have cranked up a massive marketing campaign to women that might be called Eat Prey Shop, with opportunities to scour your wallet clean, if not your soul.

Z HSN has more than 400 EPL items, including suede Italian EPL over-the-knee boots ($299) and the EPL dream journals ($24.94 for a set of three).

  • Cost Plus World Market has an entire EPL section, that includes an Indonesian bench ($359.99) and a pair of painted red tables from India ($99).
  • Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom’s are carrying designer Sue Wong’s sari-inspired EPL dresses, starting at $175.
  • Lancome, whose new model is EPL star Julia Roberts, is out with an EPL trio of lip glosses ($36 from HSN.) Retailers are pushing endless permutations of the hats, gladiator sandals and other global chic products similar to those Roberts wears in the movie.
