MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A verdict has been reached in Minneapolis in the nation’s only file-sharing case to go to trial.

The verdict was to be read later Thursday afternoon.

A federal jury deliberated several hours before reaching its verdict.

A Minnesota woman, Jammie (JAY’-mee) Thomas-Rasset, is accused of illegal sharing of music files via the Internet.

It’s the second trial for Thomas-Rasset. A different jury ruled two years ago that she violated 24 copyrights and she was ordered to pay $222,000. But a federal judge ordered a new trial, saying he made a mistake in jury instructions.
