WOW! “Goddess” I don’t know why you find the need to personally attack someone just because their opinion differs from yours. Everyone is entitled to like different things, if you don’t like Toby or the person you think he is, then don’t go to anymore of his concerts. Your personal attacks on people are what give women a bad name. All entertainers, professional athletes etc. are arrogant, some hide it and some choose to lay it out for everyone to see. If you think that they aren’t, you are kidding yourself. We can’t blame them for this and the people responsible for it is us. We tell them how great they are and put them up on pedestals, they are only people, how can we expect them to be arrogant. As for those who think Toby’s show is crude and were embarrased for their kids, what were you thinking taking your kids to his concert in the first place. Do you listen to his music? He is definetly geared towards adult audiences. I don’t know what you people expect from live entertainment. Toby is the first country concert I have ever went to, I am a rock and roll chic, and I have been to many concerts. Have these people ever been to a concert before? I have seen Toby three times and have never seen him drunk or forgetting any of the words. I prefer Toby’s songs that you don’t hear on the radio, I think the actually showcase his voice better, in fact that is what I listen to on my mp3 player, I don’t even have any of his popular songs on my player. Everybody has different tastes in music, which I believe is a good thing. I don’t like rap or hip hop, I think they should learn to play 3 chords, however, I would not launch personal attacks on those people who do like this type of music.

Fellow Women see this guy for what he is a WOMAN HATER!! Wow just heard toby keith’s new song american ride, are you women listening to the words!! women are portrayed as “getting their rocks off watching desperate housewives”, while men work their can off to pay bills. Beauty queens have to relinquish their title when they gain 5 lbs, and women get boob jobs and then get a singing contract even though they have no voice. I heard him talk and he said he thought the song was funny, yeah toby maybe to a male chauvinist pig like you it is!WAKE UP GIRLS don’t be fooled or he’ll make a fool of you & if that stuff don’t bother you how bout his claims that the environment isn’t really in danger in the song, WHAT A LOSER TOBY KEITH!!!

@ Tristan: You remind me of some folks I seen at the last TK/TA show I went to… This folks were standing outside the amphitheater yelling that drunks and sinners will go to hell, how we should embrace god as he will embrace us. All I could day to them was: I enjoy being a drunk and if you get angry over it, then let me have another one for you! You complain about an artist that sings about violence, drinking and machismo actions; yet you fail to understand that by nature we as humans are attracted to violence and hatred. We need someone to hate, and amuse ourselves in violence. You complain about an artist that does not wish to be part of a pussy footing subculture that forgets what country music is all about. This is why Toby Keith is at the top of the charts. He brings to us what we have all been missing. I did not even like country music until I heard TK! His songs inspired me to begin to listen to more artists and now I am stuck and addicted to it like a junkie. I feel sorry for all the whiners. when it comes down to it, you still paid for the concert. Do you think Toby cares whether or not you like it? Yeah, don’t think so. I personally thought he was awesome, you can argue (or whine) your point of how he’s white trash, an alchojolic…blah blah blah.. but you won’t change mine or millions of others opinions. Go see a Jonas Brothers concert where you can all sit there drinking your apple juice and eating your goldfish crackers while your 16 year old children suck on the teet. Get over it!!

Man!
Drove 21/2 hours missed daughter’s party to go see Toby’s concert at last min. and what a huge disappointment!!!!!!!! Hated the place we went what a joke! Beyond a billion people hiked a freakin 50 miles from where we parked through dirt and rocks and bottles to get to the front gate. By this time a cold beer was well desired and needed to throw down $11.00 just for that! Get to seats and show starts after all that still kept saying it’s gonna be great……..Toby starts and he looks and sounds like I don’t want to be here and can’t wait till I’m done. What a night!!!! Stayed for 4 songs milked the 11.00 beer and said screw this I’m gone.
What a joke drove back 21/2 hours and thought what a waste. Sorry Toby you felt so whatever…. but if your not enjoying what your doing do something else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t care what any of the complainers say about Toby Keith. He is a whale of a guy and I truly love him and his songs. Can’t wait to go to his concerts that are close enough to attend. I don’t buy anyone’s cd’s any more except Toby’s. He is from Oklahoma and I live about 65 miles from him in Oklahoma. He is true to his state and his people and for this I admire him. Unlike Reba, Garth, Vince and others, he still lives in Oklahoma and has not moved to Nashville or other surburbs in Tennessee. Oh, I know Garth has a home in Oklahoma but he still lives most of the time in Tennessee. So, stop bad-mouthing Toby and just don’t buy a ticket to his concerts, go see someone that you do like. Keep singing the good songs, supporting the troops, promoting Ford and OU Sooners, and be the good guy that I believe you are, Toby.

If you don’t like Toby then DON’T go to his show, do yourself a favor and spend your $$ elsewhere. As for not having talent, there seems to be a lot who will disagree with you rather than agree with you. I really hate it when folks think that they know more than they do. That’s why each has an opinion I guess. But have you tired cutting grass lately? It might do you some good to remember the old adage if you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything.

Tristan, you are a licensed clinical psychologist? And you attack a stranger on a forum board like you have been doing to me because I disagree with you and your opinions of an entertainer I assume neither one of us knows personally? again…wow. Just Wow.

And while appreciate your honest and sincere clinical assessment of my “problems”, I don’t know ANY truly professional psychologist who would put forth a diagnosis without a lengthy personal interview with the “Patient”. I’ll take any “issues” I may have to a REAL doctor…I’m thinking that maybe the diagnosis you typed in here was the one your doctor gave to you as you are the one blasting away. I stated early on, you won’t change my mind and I won’t change yours. Then you took it personal and started calling me names and detailing my personality type. When I said I check back in to see what you post next, it isn’t about being “right” (there are more sides to “right” than stars in the universe), it isn’t about wanting to take abuse from you (one has to value the person giving the “criticism” for the “criticism” to matter…I take the path my grandmother taught me…”consider the source” and let your hating words roll off my back) it isn’t even about how you perceive Toby Keith, it’s purely about entertainment. It’s YOU who opens yourself up to ridicule and that fact that you take the bait each and every time I post even a simple comment like “Wow. Just wow.” blows me away.

He;s not “hot”; he’s an arrogant immature drunk & alcoholic with anger issues and if he was a responsible ADULT, which he’s not, he would seek help.
I went to see Trace Adkins who IS a responsible adult and DID seek treatment for HIS alcohol problem several years ago and has been clean & sober and practicing Recovery ever since. Adkin’s actions and work both show this.
Keith’s actions and works both show the opposite.
(But there is method behind all of God’s actions and perhaps this Tour with the two of them togehter is “just what the doctor ordered” to let Keith see what he really needs to do to get his act together.)

cara: you ARE totally right— it definitely takes one to know one & you seem to know everything and be the high judge of everything also….right ??? You’re not the least little bit “judgemental” I see!

And cara, what you are doing, in therapeutic terms (I’m a licensed clinical psychologist) is “projection” ……..where one projects their own flaws & faults onto others to “distract” and “deviate” from owning their own shit. Borderline Personalities are the ones most effective at this and there really is no treatment for a Borderline Personality, I’m quite sorry to say.

But through some regular and intense therapy for a good length of time (3-4 years usually, with an effective therapist versed in the psychopathic antisocial adroitness of Borderlines) —you might see some improvement IF you are willing to be honest with that therapist and actually do the “work” suggested!

It’s also a very characteristic trait of almost every Borderline Personality to carry on obsessive compulsive arguments just as you seem to be so fluent at doing………………

Keith very obviously has a drinking problem; every time he shows up in public he’s been drinking and out of control and”creates” a “problem”—every TIME!!!

He needs to address his alcoholism and get treatment for it.
