This is the debut of pbpulse.com’s daily roundup of many things music. Sort of.

Actually, I sort of sneaked our first foray into rounding up the best in music blogs and news into our Michael Jackson coverage.

(And even if you’re sick of the coverage by this point, you should still check out the site Billie Tweets. Seriously, you should.)

Anyway, this one isn’t going to be a general entry either — not with Glastonbury having taken place over the weekend.

• Among the highlights — which included Bruce Springsteen, both with his own band and sitting in with up-and-comers The Gaslight Anthem, along with Neil Young, Lily Allen and Spinal Tap — the big one for most concert-goers was the return of Blur. Likely best known in this country for their media battle with Oasis in the 1990s (and that’s pretty sad, since Blur is all kinds of great), their return had a ton of UK fans full of glee. Stereogum has photos of them and more.

• Doesn’t matter how well organized the festival is, someone always seems to either miss their start time or get somehow screwed over. At Glastonbury 2009, that someone was Pharrell Williams’ band, N.E.R.D. Prefix says they started their set late, and so festival organizers shut off their power during their last song.

• Finally, leave it to Jezebel to figure out the real story — the proliferation of wellies. With rain leaving the grounds a morass, wellies — officially, Wellington boots — were all over the place, from otherwise over-decked-out concertgoers to musicians like Franz Ferdinand lead singer Alex Kapranos.

We leave you with “Little Steven” Van Zandt, longtime guitarist for Bruce Springsteen, talking about taking the show on the road again with the E Street Band:
