Miami rapper Pitbull has been acquitted of drunken driving charges.
A jury found him not guilty Wednesday after deliberating for about three hours. The 28-year-old, whose real name is Armando C. Perez, was charged in December 2007 with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Police administered field sobriety tests, which they say he failed.
His lawyers argued in court that the tests were inconclusive because they were given on a ramp, not a smooth surface.
Pitbull — a Cuban American whose music has topped the charts in both Europe and Latin America — mixes music in both Spanish and English. His latest CD is called The Boatlift.

what ? How does a ramp effect your blood alcholol level ?
another case of MONEY TALKS.
Get back on the BOAT!
I agree with you. What a rediculous defense and the Judge fell for it, that’s funnier.
It was a proper finding. Any circumstances that fall outside the norm for DUI testing may be considered exigent circumstances as to why the tests were not accurate. I have seen plenty of cases where the officer gave teh test on a gravel road, while a woman was in heels, or in unlit areas where the defendant must be found not guilty. Reasonable doubt is established by making someone walk a straight line on an up ramp and not a flat road. Also in this case, the officer admitted to purposely making him do the test on a ramp because he was upset with him. Another officer agreed they would not have given to test on the ramp.
WHAT? WHEN HE TESTED THIS “DUI GUY” WITH HIS BREATH-O-METER, IT WAS INACCURATE ALSO DUE TO A TILTED ROAD. IN IWAS THIS WOULD BE A DONE AND SHUT CASE. DO THESE OFFICERS USUALLY ACT THIS UNPROFESSIONAL? NO BREAT-A-LIZER??????
I am always proud of the United States Judiciary and this proves that the justice system is still reliable. Yes a slope would affect a sobriety test.
Congratulations Pitbull! Myself and other african americans and non-african americans who believe in the justice system are proud fought a successful fight.
For the hater who wrote ‘get back on the boat’, shame on you!
Pitbull, congratulations on your songs too, you know they want you!!!!!!!!!!1
At any rate, he should not have been driving if he had been drinking.
one quick point… you can always decline to blow in the breathalyzer. That is probably the case here since the ruling was about the field test. Just guessing….
When he kills someone with his Bently, he too can pay off the dead persons family and get a 30 day sentence.
He’ll do it again and again and again and brain dead juries will let him go and go and go.
You see money heals everything in todays thinking.
Me thinks rapper “pitbull” has been licking his hind quarters one too many times.
Before you pop off on the legal issues you ought to be aware of standing florida law. You cannot administer a Field Sobriety Test on a ramp, uneven ground or even next to busy road. This is well established case law as the officer must know that balance tests, eye tests and the like are unaffected. Cop knew better.. All cops know this. He was just lazy. Lazy cop = criminal walks.
First off… to the person who said Get back on the boat …. GROW UP ! ! ! We live in America – Florida at that – and the last time I checked they coined FLORIDA THE MELTING POT OF THE WORLD ! ! !
Second – If the cop screwed up, the cop screwed up … If I’m not mistaken the jury is selected by both partied involved in the case … The state attourney knew what they were up against ….
It’s about time that the “Mistakes” that cops “Make” be brought to light ….
I agree but take it one step forward. If cops make mistakes and the defendent walks, then the cops should be repremanded for all the time wasted by Prosecutors and the taxpayers for these mistakes

The judge didn’t fall for anything, the JURY found him not guilty. How about reading the article before posting commits. I personally think PITBULL is a thug jerk.
Look at him, he looks guilty of something!
Rik, let me preface this by saying that think very poorly of Pitbull.
That being said, “Look at him, he looks guilty of something doesn’t seem like the type of evidence that we should rely on in a court of law. You may look guilty to someone else…..
I do the job with these dogs and as far as animal behavior goes, I’m a strong believer in nurture and coaching. I’ve met Jack Russell Terriers that I wouldn’t go in close proximity to again, but have never had a poor knowledge with an American Staffordshire Terrier. If you are speaking about their owners- well, which is a different story. Humans are creatures as nicely, and we often each have our very own concepts about “moral concepts”.
