frontpage“Everybody knows that the dice are loaded…”

“I heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord…”

“Suzanne takes you down to her place near the river…”

All lyrics written by one of the master poets and pop musicians of our time — Leonard Cohen. And now Cohen’s triumphant concert swing across the United States and Europe is coming to South Florida.

Cohen will play the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise on Saturday, Oct. 17. Tickets go on sale on Monday, Aug. 10 at the usual places: Ticketmaster.com, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or Ticketmaster Express at 866-448-7849.

Seeing Cohen live is a rarity. Unlike Bob Dylan, his contemporary in croaky-voiced, expressive singing, Cohen doesn’t do that many concert tours. It’s a cliche — a once-in-a-lifetime concert event! — but this time, it may be true.
