This compilation of Beatles albums has a distinct variety of studio achievements for the band. They each have a musical direction that is unique from album to album. (except PMVol2) Choosing a favorite will be based on: listenability and musical achievement. Revolver first then Abbey Road the later. T
the white album was one of the beatles worst album.
each album side was individual.
from the first album to 1966, they averaged 14 songs.
10 of them became hits
LET IT BE WAS WHAT I WANTED TO HAPPEN IN MY LIFE BECAUSE I WAS IN A BAD MARRIAGE SO JUST LET IT BE.HARD DAYS NIGHT BECAUSE THATS WHAT I
WAS HAVING IN THE MARRIAGE.HELP BECAUSE I WAS GETTING MY ASS BEAT EVERYDAY BY THE MAN I WAS MARRIED TO .
Where’s “Meet the Beatles” (the first album released in US)? That would have been my #1 pick since it was what started it all in this country. Every album was fantastic. Each new album pushed the envelope.
If there had been no Beatles, I wonder what the music world would have been like.
Sgt. Pepper, summer of 67, vynal, cracks, hiss, an occasional skip.I wore at least one copy out.An old Phillips stereo, headphones, dreaming into the Beatles world.bought the cd when it came out. Still have the LP.They all were great.Too bad egos, Ono, Alan Klein,Eastman”s and Paul’s wanting everything his way, got in the way because the were done way before their time. There will NEVER be another Beatles, So, Let it Be
meet the beatles and something new made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. g martin started farting around too much with the recordings, eventually, sucking some of the thrill out. check out live at the bbc if you’d like to hear how the beatles got to be the beatles-like learning and playing hundreds of other peoples songs. lennon doing black girl group songs with g and p doing superb back up vocals-live no less-is beyond words.
Ah, for the true Beatles fan, who can decide on only one? I’m trying to get together a complete covers discography on my site at the moment available for downloading – can anyone help? (http://tardymusic.blogspot.com/)
For me the early albums contained so much of the excitement of the Beatles. As time passed, it became apparent they were becoming more masterful with their craft. Its too bad that music today is all about the the angry side of life. I still believe in “All you need is love”. Long live the Beatles!
