Country music at Sunset Cove Amphitheatre Saturday? What a great idea!

And the Zac Brown Band performs? Even better!

There’s something about country music that is suited for the outdoor venues. And at Sunset Cove, you’re not just outdoors, you’re in a lush garden, communing with nature, in what should be glorious weather.

The Zac Brown Band has charted three strong singles of the platinum certified debut, The Foundation: Chicken Fried, Whatever It Is, and Toes. Their Atlantic Records debut “The Foundation” has been certified platinum.

They were nominated for best new artist at the CMA’s Wednesday, but lost to Darius Rucker.

If you’re lucky, they’ll play their cover of the Charlie Daniels’ The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

The show begins at 8 p.m Pack up your blanket and get there a little early to stake out the best place on the grass. No outside food or drink is allowed.

Tickets are available at online at Ticketmaster.com and are $29.95 plus Ticketmaster’s service charge.

Sunset Cove Amphitheatre is in South County Regional Park, 12551 Glades Road, Boca Raton.
