Ricardo Arjona, the 45-year-old writer, singer and poet, is bringing his music to the Miami Airlines Arena on Thursday. The concert is part of a tour to promote his latest album, 5to Piso (Fifth Floor). The album was produced by him with a new record label, Warner Music.

The Guatemalan singer has won two Grammy awards, one for Best Male Pop Vocal Album in 2006 and Best Latin Pop Album in 2007.

I have to confess, I’ve not always been a fan of his music. It wasn’t until I moved to college that I began to fall in love with him. Slowly.

On long nights, my roommates and I would exchange love stories. Arjona would keep us company as we talked about adventures and heartbreaks. We would always end the night singing along to “A ti” (To You), with a glass of wine in our hands.

“A ti”
