Here’s the recipe for B-liminal — take four parts well-seasoned veterans of the South Florida music scene (Bryce Rutkowski, Mike Lyons, Max Fraser and Mike “Burkhart” Berchtold), add some reggae, surf and roots rock for flavor, and stir.
Hear the result of that laid-back mixture Saturday at the Square Grouper, Jupiter’s waterfront tiki bar and music joint, as the band celebrates the release of their first album, Shore Culture.
The CD is the first release of Secret 7 Records, started by Palm Beach Gardens resident and Sister Hazel bassist Jett Beres, and was recorded at Jupiter’s Echo Beach Studios by producer Phil McArthur (Nestor Torres, Ricky Martin). Proceeds from the release party, which also features the bands Fresh Catch and Ladies & Gentleman, will go to the local chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, which promotes beach conservation and access. It promises to be tasty.
B-LIMINAL CD RELEASE PARTY, Saturday, 8 p.m. The Square Grouper, 1111 Love St., Jupiter. (561) 575-0252
