If you didn’t know that Blink-182 is just coming back from a four-year break, you certainly wouldn’t have been able to tell Saturday night.

The guys from Blink, along with Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects and Asher Roth put on one loud, crazy sweaty show at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.

Third in the lineup, after Roth and AAR, Fall Out Boy took the stage with their song, “Sugar, We’re Goin Down,” off of their album From Under the Cork Tree.

I was expecting to hear a lot more music off their newest album, Folie á Deux, but they played mostly fan favorites, including a cover of “Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey, which was accompanied by an interesting slideshow of one of their sound guys in a thong, enjoying the South Florida sunshine.

With their light-up guitars and skinny jeans, the guys of Fall Out Boy never fail to put on an awesome show.

But then there was Blink. Oh, Blink. Within minutes of taking the stage, they managed to turn the entire amphitheatre into one big frat party.

Bassist Mark Hoppus commented on the uh, herbal, smell wafting around the crowd: “I’m sorry you all have glaucoma. Hope you get better soon.”

They played a lot of the favorites: “All the Small Things,” “First Date,” “Rock Show,” and the song “Family Reunion,” which probably caused parents who brought their tweens (presumably to see FOB) to explain on the car ride home.

For those of you who don’t know, “Family Reunion” is a 30-second song of nothing more than a string of the worst curse words in existence and something, according to guitarist Tom DeLonge, that they hadn’t played in seven years.

Once you get past their toilet humor, it’s easy to see that the guys of Blink are super-talented musicians, especially in the drumming of Travis Barker. He is amazing to watch.

Their show was loud, vulgar and, according to concertgoer Meghan Miles, “awesome. Just awesome.”

The guys of Blink are like three punk rock Peter Pans — they’ve never grown up. And for the sold-out crowd Saturday night, it was Neverland.
