Raphael Saadiq, formerly with R&B giants Tony! Toni! Toné! and Lucy Pearl, has built a remarkable sound around old-school soul.
It’s also made him one of the most interesting live acts around — Saadiq and his band send fans on a time-bending trip to when soul was smooth and the look was dapper.
