A publicist says Burt Bacharach is postponing several concerts, including his date at the Kravis Center on Jan. 29, as he recovers from back surgery.

Publicist Linda Dozoretz says the 81-year-old singer is recovering at a Los Angeles hospital after the New Year’s Eve surgery.

Dozoretz says Bacharach’s prognosis is excellent, but he will need to postpone scheduled concerts through mid-March.

The performance at the Kravis Center will be rescheduled for later this year or early next year, as well as shows in Australia and New Zealand. For more information about ticket policy, contact the Kravis Center box office at (561) 832-7469.

Bacharach most recently performed on Dec. 19 in Italy.
