Fans at the “Too Fast for Love Tour”, starring 3OH!3 and Cobra Starship, got to be up-close and personal, even touching hands with performers. When the barricade broke, Cobra Starship fans were allowed to move right up next to the stage.

With the threat of getting booted from the venue if they got up on stage looming, the kids attending the show were very well-behaved. Fans in front of the barrier had been standing for hours packed in like sardines. They didn’t care — they just wanted a chance to see, hear and possibly touch the performers.

The show at Pompano Beach Amphitheater brought not only young teenage girls but also some enthusiastic guys: “This will be my fourth time seeing 3OH!3,” said Alex Suissa, who came with his friends from Coral Springs.

Opening the show, Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travie McCoy entertained the audience with his energy and expression, singing his hit song “Billionaire” on the day his newly released album Lazarus hit stores.

Cobra Starship fans who showed up to meet-and-greet before the show were a bit disappointed when only two members showed up. Lead singer Gabe Saporta reportedly had the flu, while lead guitarist Ryland Blackinton didn’t make it either.

So, already saddled with bad health, Saporta’s amplifier and headpiece went out on the first song. But the band didn’t miss a beat though singing all their hits and finishing with “Good Girls Go Bad.”

Yeah, it really sucked that both Ryland and Gabe weren’t meet and greet. :/ But Suarez, Nate, and Vicky were all just beyond cool as always and Mattbro gave us all early entry.
They definately made up for anything with that show (and when Gabe held my hand and sang SOP to me! ;)) I’ve been following Cobra since the beginning and Gabe back when he was in Midtown and this was definately one of thier better performances!
(Ryland did come out later by the buses, btw)
This was a great article! Thanks!
