Editor’s Note: We made a big mistake — we left two major shows out of the poll: The Kevin and Virginia show on Wild 95.5 and the Cup of Joe show on Seaview Radio. This was an oversight by me, Jonathan Tully, and I’m taking full responsibility for it.
In order to make it fair and give their fans a chance to vote — we’re leaving this particular poll open for a two-week period, instead of the usual one-week. In addition, any write-ins for either show will count (as any write-ins do for any given item in a poll).
To the fans of both “Kevin & Virginia” and “Cup of Joe,” I apologize. Please vote. The results will be released on Sept. 12.
Some radio staples seem to be fading away, but the morning show is going pretty strong. As long as there’s a need for traffic, weather and a chance to take a bit of the edge off before work, the morning radio show will have its place.
We’d like to know your favorite. We’ve listed the top morning shows among Palm Beach County-based radio stations.
However, if you have a favorite that’s not listed, head to the bottom where it reads “other” and give us a write-in vote. If a show gets enough write-ins, we’ll add it to our poll.
Results will be available on Sept. 12.
Come on u already know it has 2 be X-102.3. U hear it all here, & 2 many other stations trying 2 do what they have been doing. Been with them from the beginning & always will be! :)

I listen to The Cup of Joe in the morning. Yeah, when you drive south near Congress on 95, the signal on 95.9 starts to static, but then I switch to 960 AM, where the static isn’t as bad. Then, when I’m on Yamato, near Military, I switch back to 95.9 and no more static. I can’t tell you about any static around 10th Ave, but when I do drive north from where I am, there is no static. (In the northern part of the county and north of that), try them on 106.9) The music is different than the other “cool and sunny” stations, and I like that..and that is my opinion. Joe, Mike, and Val make a nice team, and therefore Joe gets feedback from the two of them if Joe makes a “not so good” joke. I used to listen to WIRK before Jeff showed up. Sorry Bill and Tiny…it’s not you, it’s me. And to clarify everything, in case Mel or somebody thinks otherwise, I do not work for the station nor am I a family member of anybody there. They do know who I am though, which is nice because they have regulars who call in and Joe knows them all. They also have regular contributors on the show, from Robin Weiss (the fashion guru), Scott Simmons (from the Florida Weekly newspaper), love him or hate him Mark Foley, and others, so there’s always a little something different each day. Also, Joe gives away some nice prizes to the Mos Art theater, Cobb tickets, dinner certificates, and other nice prizes. I will say this again, I am not an employee nor a family member, I am a loyal listener who puts up with some stuff that Joe does that makes me cringe at times, but I don’t mind that. And that’s my opinion.

You’re welcome Danny, but as I said, I am not affiliated with the station other than to listen to it. I don’t understand why people think that they work for the station or have family there. Can’t people say nice things about the station, no matter which station it is?

Paul and Young Ron were the best, but after listening for 18+ years, they are so stale. The show was great with Toast and OMG mike. At least they appealed to people of all ages and gender. The new producer has not been a positive addition. Now it’s just a sometimes news, sometimes sports and self promoting boring sausage fest. Sorry, maybe it’s time to call it quits.

Harmon deal with the fact that you have screwed up an entire 25 years of success and all your lies are finally coming back to you. If you have ANY ratings it’s because you have no competition in South Florida. You serious need to stop crying to Joe about every little thing and get out of the politics and start making PnR listenable again. They were what woke me up on my morning alarm since 1994, I now wake up to BEEEEP BEEEEP BEEEP and it still amuses me more. You have personally made the show stale and completely about sports and advertisements. You are such a sniveling old man that you will probably go back and say that wasn’t you that posted this trash because you can’t take any responsibility for your faults. BE A MAN! Stop your crying. Omg didn’t give a crap about the show when he was on it , why would he care now. And don’t even try trashing Toast because I’m sure you’ll have double the people calling you out for your crap. You’re so horrible at your job an alleged pedophile does better. PS: Branzig was THE BEST producer, end of story. Stop living on stunts and things that have happened three years ago (stingray, Atlantis). Grow up.

From reading all the comments, I will certainly try “Cup of Joe” on for size. Looking for a new morning show since the one I’ve listened to for 18 years is no longer entertaining. Thanks for the tip! BTW, I think “the Penthouse” on 94.3 is great! Voted for them under “other”.

I have to admit Danny, the “mystery guest” post doesn’t begin to pass a sniff test. Only an employee would know what channels to hop to at certain locations. That is hilarious and proof that every employee and listener voted for them over and over. Still kinda sad they only had 77 votes so far from all the employees and all the listeners. Either way… Whomever “Chet” is… nice try looser, Nobody listens to to your Cup of Joe crap.
Jo Ann…you are so right! In doing some research it was revealed that most of the favorable votes for Cup of Joe show on Seaview radio were indeed from employees and/or family of employees of that awful station. Here’s how the actual names on those posts breaks down….
“Mary” = Maryann McKee (The receptionisdt at Seaview radio)
“Patricia” = Patty Palmer (Promotions Director for Seaview radio)
“A Mystery Guest” = Chet Tart (General Manager of Seaview radio)
“Nancy” = Nancy Tart (Chet Tart’s wife)
“Elizabeth” = (Chet Tart’s daughter)
“Christie” = Christie Netzel (Who hosts a show on Seaview radio on Thursday nights that probably nobody listens to)
And I am sure Joe (the guy on the show) must have posted and voted under some phoney name as well.
How desparate does a radio station (or any business for that matter)have to be to do stuff like that? And you’re right Jo Ann…after all of this dishonesty, the Cup of Joe show still only got 77 votes. I wonder if their advertisers know of the station’s deceptive practices like this?
For anybody who is still reading this after the fact, I will tell you one more time that I am not Chet nor anybody who works for the station nor am I a family member. But it appears as though Benjamin knows who everybody is at the station. And unlike other stations who probably told their listeners about this poll, the first time and only time that I heard about this poll was when it was posted on Seaview’s Facebook page. There was no campaigning and it showed with the 77 votes.

x102.3 deserves it because The McCrazy Experience is one of the few morning shows that don’t go for laughs at their listeners’ expense. They bring their own material to the table, they work for our ears.
Cup-A-Joe is too good to be only a local show…It should be nationally syndicated.

CUP OF JOE IS THE VERT BEST! I won’t start a single Monday thru Friday without Joe, Val and Intern Mike. They make me laugh out loud all morning long and then I follow through the rest of the day listening the the best music on radio (the music of my life!!!) Love Seaview Radio!!!
Hearing 2 rumors: Joe Raineri is leaving Seaview, and WRMF is adding a third person to Deena & Jennifer in the morning. Hmmm… wonder if these 2 rumors are related?!
