Behold The Wolf, a four-man Fort Lauderdale heavy metal band, edged out three other local bands to take the final spot in the schedule for SunFest 2011.

Behold The Wolf will play an hour-long set beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday at the Tire Kingdom Stage.

The group performed at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, along with three other semifinalist bands: Bobby & The Renegades, Hollywood Lovescene and Small Town Gypsys.

Behold The Wolf has a very solid modern-metal sound that fits in with bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Nonpoint, but also has the guitar style similar to that of Zakk Wylde of Ozzy Osbourne’s band. The group members are Vinny De Tomasso, Patrick Johansson, Gio Ardizzola and Louie Felix.

While all the bands at the Sunfest Rock-n-Roll Shoot-out were talented and worthy competitors, Behold the Wolf truly rocked that stage and completely deserved to win! Looking forward with great anticipation to see them open for Styx on April 30th at Sunfest!

I was amazed by Behold The Wolf’s performance at Sunfest. They opened for Styx on the Tire Kingdom stage. They were very tight and the lead singer had everyone in the palm of his hand. Tremendous voice and a stage presence that surpassed so many of the national acts I have seen in West Palm Beach. The original music was very powerful. The hooks were great and the crowd loved them. I wish i had some money to invest becuase this band will continue to impress many crowds to come and hopefully put south florida back on the rock n roll map…..

    Awesome job!!!!
