Jeff Beck and Jason Mraz performing at SunFest 2011.

Now that we’ve seen five days of music by the waterfront, we’re curious to know which act you liked the most at SunFest this year.

Did you enjoy the funky soul of Earth Wind and Fire? Or was it the hard-driving rock of Taking Back Sunday? How about Cee Lo Green? Jeff Beck? Styx?

Let us know. We’ll post the results of the poll on Monday.

    The fireworks won hands down.

  2. R says:

    Ziggy! Ya, mon!

  3. Diana says:

Why is OAR not in this list??? They were by far the best and you left them off the list!

  4. :) says:

“The Kinected” rocked it.. pretty neat to see new, fresh talent.

  5. sheryl says:

    The Kinected ROCKED!!

  6. No question says:

No question, The Kinected was hands down the best performance I have seen in a VERY long time! Awesome show!

  7. LoU says:

Honestly, Im a pretty big fan of Jason Mraz but that was beyond brutal! I left after the 6 or 7th song and that was still way too much to handle. Just really bad song choices and weird slow mood set, not to mention the fedora army that squealed at a pitch that would send my dog into hysteria. The Avett Brothers however could give a lesson to some of these larger more popular bands on what music should really be about. They performed beautifully and had amazing emotion in their songs that THEY wrote, unlike many of the bands that performed. They should be given a ton of credit, and the standing ovation that lasted nearly ten minutes got them to perform one more amazing song when initially I dont think they had an encore in mind. Thanks for booking a true diamond in the ruff in the Avett Brothers, I hope you consider them again for next year

Lou: I’m going to show a little bias here — I too was a huge fan of the Avetts this year. That was one of the best SunFest sets I’ve seen.

The Avett Brothers were phenomenal. I saw them once before, but this performance even blew that one out of the water. I hadn’t been to a Sunfest in years but I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for next year’s line up if they keep adding people like the Avett Brothers. Awesome, awesome show.

  8. Jennifer says:

Neon Trees should be added to the list. A great performance!

  9. Ryan says:

Some of the main acts were great and some of them were terrible. I was really really impressed by THE KINECTED. pretty interesting sound- different, exciting, catchy songs, and a lot of fun

  10. freakerdude says:

Out of Gregg Allman, Jeff Beck, Styx, EWF, and the rest I saw, Bobby Lee Rodgers trio out-rocked them all. Jeff Beck had a great band but a lot of people left after 4 or 5 songs to go and listen to EWF. Most ppl are not fans of instrumental rock I guess, no matter if he is the best guitarist.

  11. Kimberly says:

I thought The Kinected were awesome! Great catchy songs, they def rocked out!

  12. MikeG says:

I’ve been going to Sunfest since the early 80′s and the Avett Brothers were the best performance I’ve seen since Santana played the north stage in 97. Simply an amazing show.

  13. that girl says:

THE KINECTED! sexy guys and an amazing sound! can’t get much better than that!!!!

  14. Melissa says:

I loved The Kinected. I had never heard of them before, but I heard 97.9 promoting them, and heard a lot of great things about them prior to the show. I also saw them on the news earlier in the week doing an interview. They sure lived up to their hype! Awesome!

  15. vs says:

Next year I would like to see locals Joe & Joey Tenuto Jr. playing, they’ll rip it up.

  16. TOMMY says:

STYX AND EARTH WIND & FIRE WERE AWESOME, BUT THAT WAS EXPECTED. HOWEVER I DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE RAW TALENT FROM A GROUP I HAD NEVER HEARD OF. PRETTY IMPRESSED WITH THE KINECTED.. AND THEY’RE FROM HERE… PRETTY COOL!

  17. Karen says:

THE KINECTED WAS THE BEST!! THEY REALLY ROCKED!!!

  18. Paul Hewson Jr says , The Kinected were like aliens
Coming down with a gift of originality and sincerity,
With crazy grooves and interesting colors, the performance was highly
    Energetic and seriously dynamic .!

  19. heather says:

the kinected :)Know one of the guys personally-what a gem :)

No other band deserves the respect than that Kinected group, they are so talented and I’m very surprised that they weren’t a major signed act?!?! Hello??? -DEL

  21. Tracy A says:

I’ve been a fan of The Kinected for a couple of years now. These four are not only talented musicians, but they’re all really, really great guys. So glad that others are finally beginning to aprpeciate them, too. They ROCKED at Sunfest!

  22. kinected fan says:

Gregg Allman easily the best. He and his band were spot on.

  24. mickey d says:

Kinected showed the full range of their talent and it was great.

The Avett Brothers were my favorite performance but I also loved The Kinected (Check them out, they’re amazing!) and MGMT (got to high-five Andrew and Ben)!

The Kinected was amazing!!!! Every song of theirs sounded like a hit. Catchy music!

  27. Roseann Begleiter says:

Will someone sign these four fabulous guys who are so talented as well as genuine individuals. The show at Sunfest was the best performance I have ever seen. Earth Wind and Fire came in second and they were my favorite at one time…Now “The Kinected” AWESOME!!!

  28. Walt Dement says:

$ 8.00 for a beer last year… no go this year.

  29. Ethan says:

Well according to these posts I wish I would have known about Kinected! Avetts were great. OAR was way better than the other times that I had seen them. Toad was a great surprise. Jeff Beck was a huge disappointmnet. Styx was WAY better than I could have imagined. Bobby Lee Rodgers was REALLY good. Jason Mraz absolutely sucked – but don’t tell my 12 and 10 year olds! Sarah Packiam will be a big star one day. And for some reason I really like Mayday – whoever booked them had balls! Steel Train also solid.

  30. Ryan S says:

Joel Silva KILLED before Jeff Beck’s set, jammy blues

  31. Ryan S says:

Earth Wind and Fire was super amazing too

  32. Ben says:

The Kinected by far out Rocked everyone else all original great show

THE KINECTED!!!!! Best band by far and a set of truly unique and talented individuals. I see a future headlining act in SunFest’s future!!!!! :) :) Absolutely love this band!

  34. Sally Smith says:

Earth Wind and Fire was a great performance.
