A brunch of quality over quantity

By Leslie Gray Streeter

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

Brunch buffets can be caloric and financial bombs - I find myself over-doing the potatoes, sugary waffle toppings and such to justify spending $60 for the all-you-can-eat-ness of it all. Max’s Harvest, that Delray bastion of farm to table goodness, offers a delicious and cost-effective alternative - an a la carte sustainable brunch with an all-you-can-drink mimosa/Bloody Mary bar. Quality trumps quantity - after splitting the goat cheese croquettes for $6 and soloing on the huge $13 Greek yogurt parfait, and $15 for the Bloody Mary bar, I was not only full but better off than in Unlimited Waffle Land. Not that I never love that. But it doesn’t love my hips back.

Brunch at Max’s Harvest, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, 169 NE 2nd Avenue, Delray Beach, (561) 381-9970
