MENU

Pizza, chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, limited entrees dubbed as “Italian soul food.”

ATMOSPHERE

Pizza-parlor comfortable with tables that seat two or can pull together for large groups sharing pies. It’s obvious a transplanted New Yorker opened the chain in Fort Lauderdale, with framed celebrity photos and a friendly vibe.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

The specialty pies ($19.95 for 16-inch) like Paul & Young Ron (yes, named after those radio DJs) put together some great combinations like mini meatballs, sausage, peppers and ricotta cheese, perfect for the bubbly crust that may be a little singed around the edges. But we put together a large mushroom and meatball ($21.90 for 16-inch due to specialty toppings). We also got a free sample of the wings ($9.75 for 10 pieces) that are roasted in that same coal oven and topped with caramelized onions for a smoky, moist wing.

REASON TO GO

The pizza is worth the trip, but this is also a good place to bring some friends, that way you can try more than one kind of pizza. Try the craft beer menu too — Anthony’s carries local breweries.

SERVICE

Kelsey was helpful and friendly, and she made sure as first-time customers we got a sample of the wings. Service was pretty fast, considering it was a busy Saturday night with a half-hour wait.

NOISE LEVEL

This is not a romantic Italian restaurant, but even with the tight quarters and bustling crowd you can still hold a conversation at your table.

KID FRIENDLY

The pizza should keep any kid happy, and ours was no exception, plus she was able to get a kiddie cup of milk.
