More than 150,000 people are expected to visit ArtiGras over three days this weekend at Abacoa in Jupiter. From Saturday through Monday, 300 artists will exhibit their work at what is considered one of the top 50 art shows in the U.S.

Here are five reasons to go:

The Fine Arts Area. Find the work of 300 national, regional and local fine artists who compete for more than $15,000 in prizes in the areas of ceramics, digital art, drawing/graphics/print making, emerging artists, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.

There’s also a Garden Art Area with wood, glass, sculptures, fountains and furnishings, an Emerging Artist area featuring 11 Palm Beach area artists who participated in a six-month training program with ArtiGras event staff and other mentors.

Interactive art. Visit the Artist Demonstration Stage for a better understanding of technique, including a Q&A: the Eco-Art GREEN Zone where artists who work with primarily recycled or upcycled materials will be featured. The Guerilla A.R.T. Challenge is a fun art competition between artist teams to show off their upcycling skills and create art from trash.

Adults can take an art class on Artivity Avenue including a painting class with complimentary wine and cheese. Kids can also get their hands dirty in the ArtiKids Area.

Just for Kids: Tiny Treasures for ages 3-13 is a “kids only” gallery where they can purchase artwork donated by the exhibiting artists. It’s a great way to introduce kids to art, and they can visit with the artists on site. Proceeds directly benefit the Quantum House.

The Youth Art Competition awards ceremony will take place on Saturday afternoon and the finalists’ work will be on display the entire weekend.

The music. From the pop/rock offerings of Jeff Harding to the classic grooves of Matt Farr, music lovers will find a variety of acts on the bill Saturday. Hip hop/acoustic pop from Jason Cardinal, country music from Tom Jackson and blues from Blues Dragon are offered on Sunday. Monday features R&B from Eclipse and country/rock from Burnt Biscuit.

The food. The Green Market serves fresh salads, fruit, sandwiches and wraps, but you’ll also find traditional American standards like hamburgers and hot dogs, chicken fingers and pizza. Or try something a little more exotic like Asian fusion stir fry and pot stickers. Relax with a glass of wine or beer or try the “pARTI Punch.” Roving vendors will serve festival favorites from frozen lemonade to kettle corn.
