When’s the last time you saw a Picasso up close?
You will get the chance to see that and more at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens’ new exhibit, “The Collector Series: Exhibition No. 1”.
The show features selections of paintings and sculptures from Edgar Degas, August Robin, Milton Avery, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol and more.
Guest curator, and art committee chair, David Miller says, “We are very fortunate to have friends and supporters lend works from their private collections for our exhibition.” The works are made all the more interesting by how they were found and came into private collection.
The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens comprise the former residence of sculptor Ann Weaver Norton. The house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and the property features a collection of 300 species of tropical palms.
Along with the exhibit, you can enjoy more than 100 works by the artist, including nine monumental sculptures, eight in brick and one in granite displayed throughout the house, studio and gardens.
The Collector Series show runs through March 24.
